Sampler Blanket

Smiley's Yarns had their big holiday sale this week at the Holiday Inn ballroom on West 57th.  Bought quite alot of this colorful cotton yarn.  The plan is to make 16 squares, each using a different crochet stitch, and then sew them all together.  This one is "shell".
I would rather think about this project than do anything.. except maybe go out to dinner!

Tablet case

I sure am crocheting up a storm lately!  This is a case for Sid's new 7" tablet.  It shouldn't just go in his briefcase unprotected.  Note the "boy" type colors I chose.  That single crochet stitch is so adaptable.
